A mindfulness based asana, pranayama and meditation practice is ideal for practicing your Alexander Technique skills while developing strength, flexibility and restored balance.
Often I work with my students to design a personalized yoga practice that may include asana, pranayama and meditation to enhance their life and learning. We work on the sequence or skill in your private lesson until you are comfortable practicing it on your own. Then, we go on to build on that practice.
I completed my 200-hour RYT training with Sarahjoy Marsh at Amrita in 2012 and then taught pubic classes infused with Alexander Technique principles from 2012 to the end of 2018 in Seattle. I am now in Sarahjoy’s 300-hour professional yoga therapy training at the DAYA Foundation. I am learning more tools for assisting students with their individual challenges and deepening my knowledge of trauma-informed brain sensitive yoga practices.
